"The Lost Princess" (迷子のプリンセス Maigo no purinsesu, lit. Lost Princess) is a quest and storyline in Legend of Mana. It is the first event of the Jumi Arc, featuring Elazul and Pearl.
Premise[]
Upon first entering Domina, Elazul will be found talking with Duelle. After that, he enters the pub and starts to harass Rachel, who resists his questioning. The player may agree with Elazul in his questioning and help him. If not, after existing the Dominas' The Marketplace, Elazul will be found in the map asking for the Hero/Heroine's assistance. After either of those options, talking to Rachel will make her give the Jade Egg AF. Elazul comments that it smells like Pearl and asks to hurry to the caverns.
After placing the AF and entering Mekiv Caverns, Elazul immediately starts to sense her. At the lowest level of the cavern, a roaming Sandra will be found, has the player not completed The Flame of Hope event. She will taunt Elazul and Pearl's scream will be heard. The group immediately rushes to the boss run, where Du'Inke will be found. After defeating him, Elazul clicks his core, to which Pearl's core automatically responds. She will timidly get out of her hiding spot and be scolded by Elazul, to which the player may defend him or her. Before leaving, she will blushingly thank the Hero/Heroine, and may give the Stone Eye and/or Firefly Lamp AF.
If the player heads alone to the caves and has not completed The Flame of Hope, Sandra will be found roaming as usually, starting her talk with Elazul until she notices he is not with the Hero/Heroine and says she mistook them for another person. She then asks whether they are there to save Pearl, and will warn the Hero/Heroine that if they help the Jumi they will be turned to stone. She then wonders what "that Lapiz kid is up to". After the boss battle, Elazul will quickly appear, thinking the Hero/Heroine is after Pearl's core. He tells her not be so gullible.
Solution[]
- Enter Domina
- Go to Pub "Amanda & Barrett's"
- Talk to Elazul. Side with him so he can join you
- If you hadn't sided with him and he has left the Pub, simply go to The Marketplace and back to the map. He will be found asking for your help and will join regardless of the answer.
- If he left when you entered Home or if he does not appear, reenter Domina until he does.
- If you cannot get him, the quest can be done alone, just enter Mekiv Caverns as usual
- If he left when you entered Home or if he does not appear, reenter Domina until he does.
- If you hadn't sided with him and he has left the Pub, simply go to The Marketplace and back to the map. He will be found asking for your help and will join regardless of the answer.
- Talk with Rachel
- She will give a Jade Egg. Plant it and enter the Mekiv Caverns.
- To find Pearl follow these directions (area 8 of the map):
- Lower Right
- Lower Right
- Right
- Lower Left
- Lower Left
- Left
- Defeat Du'Inke.
