Thanatos is a collective name for the Demons that resemble masks who serve The Echoes of Anise the Witch. Through their power the Great Tree's depths were turned into a second Mavolia. They followed the Tree Maiden Anise(who is possessed by their master) and Stroud at one point in time and crowned Stroud King of the Thanatos and helped him turn the world into another Mavolia after the door to the Great Tree's depths had been opened with the end goal being to turn Paradise and Hell into more Mavolias.
They turn all who are touched by them into Grimslies
They only appear in Dawn of Mana.
