Tess is a character from Children of Mana. Originally from Lorimar, she lives with the others on Illusia. She follows the path of a Tree Maiden and prays regularly to the Mana Goddess. She also spends time researching the plants and animals of the island, and their connection with Mana. She does so as a way to connect with her parents that died in the cataclysm, who also researched Mana. She is 16 years old, 5 ft. 1 in. tall (154 cm), and weighs 95 lbs (43 kg).

Background

Tess is introduced fairly early in the game. Not much is known of her personal history. She tells the main character that her parents were researchers of Mana, and had written volumes on that research.

Involvement

When your character approaches Tess, she will offer to switch out guardian spirits with you. Tess is the tree maiden so she ends up being involved with a lot of conflict you must save her from. Tess is also your character's friend, she encourages you.
