After Larc, her brother, died and she became a dragoon for Vadise the Dragon of the White Forest, Sierra's role in the Dragon subplot grows slowly only appearing to prevent Larc from defeating the dragons and advising him not to do so.
She becomes a party member when Vadise explains the scheme of the Dragon Emperor, and helps Sierra reclaim the soul of her brother in the Underworld reversed castle.
Sierra is selfless and brave, and despite the fact that she loves her brother and wishes to have him back, she understands her own happiness must not come at a higher cost of the absolute destruction Drakonis will bring.
As the dragoon of Vadise, Sierra is fierce in her loyalty and devotion to her liege. This fact alone has compelled her to thrust herself into the midst of tremendous danger in the execution of the duties that she imposes upon herself for the sake of defending Vadise from coming under harm. Sierra's appearances in the forests of the Norn Peaks in The Guardian of Winds and within the Bone Fortress in The Ghost of Nemesis evidence this, as both instances see her resorting to physical violence in a bid to halt the Hero/Heroine and Larc in carrying out their mission of folly under Drakonis' direction.
Lying nestled within Sierra's exterior of unflinching responsibility is a strong, pulsating love for her family. Throughout her interactions with Larc, in spite of the harsh, blunt tone that she employs in deriding his actions, it is evident that she does so out of sheer concern for his well-being. Sierra's love for her brother is made especially clear in The Crimson Dragon, where she clearly expresses anguish in response to her brother's pain in being warped and subsequently transformed into a monster.
