Rise of Mana was an action role-playing game for PS Vita,[1] iOS and Android, and the latest game in the Mana series. Released for iOS on 6 March 2014, 26 June 2014 for Android, and 14 May 2015 for PS Vita.

Development

On 17 June 2013, it was reported on Siliconera[2] that Square Enix had registered a trademark in Europe for the name Rise of Mana. About one month later, on 13 August, Siliconera reported[3] that Square Enix had done the same thing in Japan, and that they had also re-registered the trademark for Seiken Densetsu, the Japanese name for the Mana franchise.

On 26 February 2014, the game was officially revealed with a debut trailer showcasing gameplay, characters, and the theme song, Believe in the Spirit, performed by KOKIA.

Square Enix terminated the game on March 31, 2016, but had been weighing options to re-release it under a different distribution model[4]
