The Path to Topple is a location and field area in Sword of Mana. It's part of the greater Topple region at the north of the world. It's connected to Topple village to the northeast, also to Topple Armory by a pair of stairs to the north.
Story[]
As the Hero[]
After the events in Granz Castle's bridge, Niccolo will hooks the Hero out of the water, after waking up him, they will have a brief dialogue and Niccolo will soon leave telling the Hero that he can pay him later for the rescue. Soon after, going to the south part of the scenario the Hero will hear a scream and find a person in trouble.
As the Heroine[]
Looking for the book lost by the boy from Topple, the Heroine re-encounters the mysterious man who destroyed her village with Dark Lord in the past, recognizing her, he admits that he doesn't know there are survivors of the Mana clan left, indicating that he killed everyone in the village.
Frightened, she accuses him, but he replies that it was Realm soldiers who did it, following the Dark Lord's orders, but she says it's the same.
He laughs and teases, saying the village was already doomed by the goddess for abandoning them, and that she won't save it there.
Soon, a soldier says that the Dark Lord is summoning Julius, the villan then controls a monster to attack her, saying that they will meet again and leaves.
The monster proceeds to attack her, but the Hero appears, and a battle ensues.
Both stories continuation[]
After fighting with Chopin Hood, the Heroine initially will not trust the Hero thinking he is from the Granz realm, he denies it and suggests accompanying her, she hesitates first, but after a noise, she decides to join him by going to Topple to avoid being attacked again. Afterwards, introducing themselves, the protagonist soon thinks this is the same person that he/she remembers.
Before leaving the scene, the Heroine will ask him to retrieve the book lost of one of the village boys in the grass, after finding it the two leave for the village.
