Nitromyte (Gunpowder in the fan translation) is a key item in Trials of Mana.

Story

In both 2D and 3D versions, nitromyte is first sold by Watts for 5,000 Lucre or 3,000 Lucre in the Dwarf Tunnels if the party encounters him before fighting Jewel Eater. Otherwise, Watts will give the heroes the precious item for free as a thanks for freeing Gnome from the beast.
