Nevarl Fortress (Navarre Fortress in the Corlett translation) is a location in Heroes of Mana and Trials of Mana. It is populated predominantly by humans and has a hot and dry climate.

Nevarl is home to Nevarl Thieves Guild, a band of rogues led by Flamekhan who pride themselves on their creed of stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Their swiftness and elusiveness has earned them a popular name "Desert Storm".

History

The Nevarlans were originally a band of thieves. They were led by Olbex but Flamekhan took over upon Olbex's death. The thieves sided with Pedda during their war on the world. However, Pedda later deserted Nevarl, leaving Nevarl to deal with the backlash of the other countries. In both Heroes and Trials of Mana they were shown to be in conflict with Laurent, specifically.

Nevarl begin to shift away from their principles when Flamekhan is approached by Isabella. The latter plays Flamekhan and persuades him to expand his domain, citing the inhospitable climate his people have to endure and the riches they could have. Under her influence, Flamekhan dissolves the Thieves Guild and proclaims Nevarl a kingdom.
