The Megapede is a boss in Final Fantasy Adventure and Adventures of Mana. The massive worm creature makes its abode in the Forbidden Mines near a deposit of mythril.

Strategy

Watts may be on board for this battle; but his aim, like most AI partners, is highly erratic. Megapede's lair has four holes in the mine floor which it uses as it moves about. The player could try to predict where its head will pop up and whack it when it does, but its randomness could drag the battle out for some time. It also attacks by looping around its prey or striking with its individual segments. The player needs to keep in mind that the light/reddish spots on the head are its only weak points, and can use the sickle's long range to strike. It may still take a while, but Sumo should always have enough room to avoid the worst of the damage.
