Lorimar Castle is a location and settlement in Sword of Mana. It's a castle setting at the further northeast part of the world, and it's connected to Snowfield through the south by the entrance gate, and to Kahla Peaks through the northwest by the back gate.
Story[]
In their quest for the Mana Sword, after traversing the slippery terrain of the snowfield, the heroes finally arrives at the castle.
After a brief scene at the entrance door, the two enter the castle, there, they discover that all the residents have been magically frozen, traveling a little further they meet the King Lorimar in the throne room, who welcomes them.
Asking what happened to the others, the king will say that they were frozen but they are still alive, after a brief moment, a lady named Marley will arrive, and denounce that it was the king who sold his people to Vandole Empire in exchange for mana power.
The other will deny and claim that he did this for his people, but she will say that he received an old and evil spirit, difficult to tame, named Malyris to sacrifice his people, leaving only him in the kingdom, since this spirit deceived all his people.
The monarch will protest that he had no choice, but Marley will say that even his son, Prince Durac, has been turned into a ice statue, which the king will regret.
In the Heroine's story, Marley will recognize the Heroine from the previous meeting on the Airship, both happy to be fine after the fall, successively, the Heroine will introduce her to Willy, and then, both will talk about what happened to the Dark Lord, in which Marley does not blame the Heroine for the occurred.
In both stories, after saying to her they are go to Subsea Volcano, Marley will say that they must go through Rocky Wilds, but warns that this route not possible due to the armory being frozen. So looking for another way, she says that if they defeat this evil spirit in Kahla Peals, the spell can be undone, so she gives them the castle's master key. Therefore, the determined heroes then head to the castle's back gate.
Later, after defeating Malyris, all the petrified people will revert to normal, and the prince will succeed the king.
