The Jackal is the very first boss in Sword of Mana.

It is one of three bosses unique to the Hero, the other two being Ankheg and Medusa.


As the story starts, the Hero will awaken suddenly, as will Willy, a fellow gladiator. It seems after the Hero was captured, he was forced to become one and is now fighting daily just to survive and to entertain the Dark Lord and the people of Granz Realm by battling monsters.
