Hitodama

Hitodama (Zable Fahr in the Japanese version) is a boss from Legend of Mana. It appears in the Underworld.

In-game

The Fallen Emperor

The Hitodama is the boss of the first Underworld adventure. Larc participates in the battle as an ally.

The Hitodama's tactics consist of appearing and disappearing periodically. After disappearing, it attacks with energy rays or energy waves emitting from one of the walls. It can only be damaged when it is visible.

After his or her victory, the Hero is brought to meet Drakonis.

Etymology

In Japanese mythology, the hitodama (lit. "human soul") are the disembodied souls of the dead which appear as hovering flames.
