Energy Absorb is one of six spells taught by Undine, the Mana Spirit of Water, in Secret of Mana. It is an offensive spell that transfers HP from the target to the caster. If the target is undead, it will transfer the caster's HP to the target instead.
Popoi can cast the spell at a cost of 2 MP. It is also cast by Wall Face in the Pandora Ruins, Silktails in the Forest of Seasons, and the Dark Lich in the Mana Fortress.
