Ebony Butler is a non-player character in Sword of Mana. He serves Count Lee at Vinquette Hall. He is the Hero counterpart of the Ivory Butler.
Story[]
The Ebony Butler is a servant of Count Lee in Vinquette Hall, in the Hero's story, when the protagonists arrive at the mansion, they are welcomed by this butler, who, after informing that his master cannot see them now, invites them to stay there overnight.
The Heroine does not want to spend the night there, out of fear, but the Hero wanting a warm bed after so long in prison agrees.
After going to them room, waking up in the middle of the night, the Hero sees that the Heroine has disappeared, going down to the entrance, he overhears the butler telling himself that the girl will serve his master well, and leaves for one of the doors. Thinking it is the Heroine, he sets out to rescue her.
Going through the dungeon, he finds a room full of coffins like sleeping Mana women, after a quick conversation with a mysterious man he had met before, this one leaves, soon, the butler appears and a battle begins.
After the battle, being wounded, he leaves the scene.
Later in the game, after facing Count Lee and returning to the mansion, the butler can be found talking to his counterpart, Ivory Butler, in the protagonists' room. The Ivory butler says that he is right and then they can bid farewell to this world, in turn, the Ebony Butler wonders if there is no one suitable.
