Duma Desert (デュマ砂漠 Duma sabaku) is a Land from Legend of Mana. It's scorching hot sands are home to diverse rock formations, cactus, fossils, and various secrets buried away by time. Aside from it's deadly views, it holds a Oasis.

Kathinja is sitting in a cactus at the very beginning of the map, with her Students roaming around. She tells the Hero/Heroine that she comes from Geo's Academy of Magic, and that another teacher, Mephianse, has taken an ancient spell book and plans to do something with it. After offering her help, the player needs to find their way to Mephianse, as some of his Students try to cover it.
When Mephianse is found, he knocks back the Hero/Heroine and Kathinja, and two Axebeaks attack. After finishing them, the Hero/Heroine is not able to prevent Mephianse's plan and he casts his spell, with the intention of destroying the world. However, it doesn't do anything more than releasing fireworks.
