Wiki of Mana

Profile[]

Appearance[]

Where Bon Voyage appears, he is a stout figure with a large nose, bushy eyebrows, and a red beard resembling a lion's mane. He also has big feet and tends to appear barefoot. In Trials of Mana, however, he is a short and hirsute man in green and yellow striped garb that resembles a jester's tunic.

Personality[]

Bon Voyage is an eccentric character, often fascinated by machinery and explosives, including cannons and bombs. He is also quite excitable, to the point that he is very easily distracted and sometimes forgetful of small but important details in relation to his work. Nevertheless, he is a family man and always eager to help adventurers in need of his genius.

Bon Voyage is now but one in a family of cannon travel operators, named with the letters swapped in localized versions. A bizarre inventor living in the port city of Maia, he manages to craft the world's first cannon in his backyard. He forgets that any good cannon needs fuel, and so sends the heroes to Stonesplit Gap to pick up nitromyte. Watts has it, but unless the party saves Gnome from the Jewel Eater, Watts charges a princely sum. When the party returns to Maia, Bon Voyage ends up under-shooting Valsena for the Molebear Moors.

Later in chapter 3, if Charlotte isn't in the party during the visit to Dior, she uses Bon Voyage's cannon to travel to Lampbloom Woods on her own.
