Altena, also known as the Kingdom of Magic, is a location in Heroes of Mana and Trials of Mana. It is populated predominantly by human magicians and has a cold climate, though the Queen of Altena uses her magic to keep the capital and castle in a state of mild climate. It had long been allied with Valsena, but in Trials of Mana the Queen's change has them invade their long-time ally.
